It’s no secret that hashtags help boost your reach. You don’t want to appear spammy, however, and clog your caption with the maximum amount of captions allowed. I would pick 2-3 relevant tags (such as words that describe the subject of your video) and 2-3 trending tags. This will help boost your video to the right audiences without appearing spammy.

Music:
Picking the right song is a lot more important than you might think. Trending songs get more reach, as the TikTok algorithm incentives the use of these songs and favors videos that use them. Using tools like Tokboard is a great way to identify which songs are trending on TikTok.
